The core idea for the game is a 2D arena auto-battler. Characters can be matched against each other individually or in teams. The specific game-mechanics remain to be determined, but like any battler game, the characters have health, attack, defense etc. statistics and the characters attempt to inflict damage upon the other team until only one team remains standing. Characters will have some classical and some quirky mechanics as to how they can contribute to the team. The first character, Diver, for example falls into the category of a classical warrior melee character for the most part. But when equipped with a beer cannon may transform into a supportive role, boosting team morale or intoxicating the opposing team reducing their defense.
While the current objective is a 2D arena auto-battler, the game development will occur in stages. An initial “results based” interface, once the game engine is in place, will allow for users to benefit from the NFT utility and play-to-earn features while the full user-interface game is being developed.
The extended concept for the game on the other hand revolves around the core idea of the arena battles and the activities that can be performed: acquiring better in-game items and understanding the interplay between the different characters and item sets in order to build the strongest possible team.
Possibilities for mechanics and features within and without the arena battle itself are extensive and deserve further investigation once the core features mentioned above are fully implemented. The utility of the NFTs can go as far as we as a community want them to go. Other functions may include servicing your items or augmenting them via blacksmithing. While the arena is player versus player (PVP), other aspects of player versus environment (PVE) can become relevant as time goes on.
Thinking about this concept you can consider that as your character you are now immersed in this economy where you want to rise to the top with your friends and naturally need to pay for certain goods and services with in-game currency and that you will equally receive the in-game currency for the activities that you perform in that economy.
